Standing at the bottom of the High Street two minutes walk from Sandpipers you can watch the ocean liners passing to and from Southampton - Queen Mary II being one of the largest. There are small boats, sailing boats, dinghies and all sorts of craft sailing by. The Sea View Yacht Club is extremely popular and thriving. The local one design (known as Seaview dinghies) are built locally by the boatbuilder in the village.
